The port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie:
Just 20 km from our campsite in St Jean de Monts, the port of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie will win you over with its picturesque atmosphere. Take a stroll along the quays and soak up the atmosphere. Looking for fresh fish? Attend the return of the fishing boats, where blue fish take pride of place (sardines, mackerel, anchovies, horse mackerel…).
The ports of Noirmoutier and l’Herbaudière:
Just 30 km from where you’re staying, immerse yourself in Noirmoutier’s maritime history and feast on seafood specialities in the restaurants lining the quays. A feast for the eyes… and the taste buds.
The port of Les Sables d’Olonne :
Just 1 hour from your holiday rental, discover the port of the Vendée Globe, the famous non-stop, unassisted round-the-world race. A mecca for sailing and water sports, the harbour in Sables is the largest yachting harbour in the Vendée. Escape guaranteed!

The Vendée Globe:

Les Régates du Bois de la Chaize :
Every August, Noirmoutier hosts one of the largest gatherings of traditional sailing boats on the Atlantic coast.



Focus on the Saint-Jean-de-Monts water sports centre
Are you planning to spend your next holiday in Saint Jean de Monts? Then why not take advantage of the opportunity to try your hand at the thrills and spills of sailing!
Located just a stone’s throw from the famous estacade in Monts, the St-Jean-de-Monts water sports centre is open all year round. Activities on offer: optimist, catamaran, stand-up paddle, sea kayak, sand yachting, windsurfing, kitesurfing, wingfoil.
In summer, the sailing school organises courses, group lessons and private lessons for both beginners and experienced sailors. The club also hires out water sports equipment (surfboards, paddleboards, kayaks, windsurf boards, wetsuits).
