Notre Dame de Monts, a seaside resort on the move
Just a few kilometres from our campsite in Saint Jean de Monts, discover Notre Dame de Monts. What to see and do in this small seaside resort on the Côte de Lumière? Between beach and forest… follow the guide!
With its 4.5km of beaches, the little Pays de Monts resort gives you plenty of choice for swimming and walking along the coast. Each of the eight beaches is different and has its own story to tell. Let’s discover them together!
- The Pont d’Yeu beach, to the south, reveals a treasure trove at low tide: a 2km-long rocky strip facing the Ile d’Yeu. Fishing enthusiasts flock there at high tide.
- Plage du Murier is a small, natural, intimate beach next to the main beach. This means you’re not too far from the entertainment, but away from the crowds.
- Plage Centrale is the main beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. It’s the resort’s must-see spot, with its many summer activities and events.
- Plage des Régates is a natural beach bordered by dunes. It is located above the Grande Plage.
- Plage de la Braie is a large beach on the edge of the forest, popular with families and fishermen, with picnic tables.
- La Renaudière beach is very wild, unsupervised and accessible only on foot or by bike.
- La Parée Grolier is the most northerly beach. It will delight walkers in search of unspoilt open spaces.
