In the heart of the Montagne resort, a succession of fine sandy beaches among the finest in the Vendée. Discover our selection of the best seaside spots!

Estacade beach: below the Esplanade de la Mer, a beach famous for its 400-metre-long jetty. On-site children’s club, toilets, free parking, deckchairs and benches in front of the dune.
Plage des Oiseaux: opposite the Palais des Congrès, a lively sandy beach, the most central in the resort. Summer first-aid station, kids’ club, beach bars, PRM accessibility, toilets.
La plage des Demoiselles: on the esplanade de la Mer, a very popular beach. Supervised in July and August, beach club, tiralo, toilets, numerous restaurants and shops.
La Baigneuse beach: the busiest and liveliest beach in Saint Jean de Monts, overlooking the Avenue de la Mer in the town center. Supervised in season, PRM accessibility, beach club.
La Plage de la Base Nautique: located to the north of the pier, at the level of the sea wall, with lifeguard station in July and August, beach volleyball court, tiralo for people with reduced mobility, sanitary facilities.

The wild beaches of Saint Jean de Monts

Looking for more intimate, less crowded beaches to sunbathe on in St Jean de Monts? Here’s where to put your towel down this summer.

La Davière beach: a wild beach, sheltered from the wind, supervised in summer, easy to access. Here you can fish on foot, go sand yachting and kitesurf.
La plage du Golf: located near the golf course and the thalassotherapy center, this huge beach is less frequented because it’s not so easy to get to. First-aid post in summer.
La Parée du Jonc beach: on the road to Notre Dame de Monts, an unspoilt beach sheltered by the dune. Supervised in summer and accessible to people with reduced mobility.
Tonnelles beach: a huge, wild beach, but supervised in summer, without the crowds.
