Located at the end of the Esplanade de la Mer,Saint Jean de Monts’ Estacade<\/strong> is another must-see. Inaugurated for holidaymakers in 1966 and rebuilt in 2013, this long wooden jetty<\/strong> juts out into the ocean for almost 400 meters and has become the town’s symbol. A veritable balcony overlooking the sea<\/strong>, the Estacade is a delight for walkers and anglers alike. <\/p>

The panoramic Ferris wheel<\/h2>

Every year, with the arrival of summer, the Saint Jean de Monts Ferris wheel<\/strong> makes its return to the Esplanade de la Mer, opposite the Odyss\u00e9a convention center. Over the years, it has become one of the resort’s must-see attractions<\/strong>. Once up there, at a height of 40 metres<\/strong>, the view is spectacular. In a single glance, you can see the whole town, the ocean, the forest of Pays de Monts and theisland of Yeu<\/a> in the distance. In the heart of the Pays de Monts forest, just 200 meters from the beach, the Saint Jean de Monts racecourse is not just for horse racing enthusiasts. Founded in 1903, the racecourse organizes flat and trotting races at five meetings a year.
